Monroe Camp & Retreat Center Available For Hurricane Matthew Relief Work Groups

Laurel Hill, NC, November 29, 2016– In response to the needs of work groups willing to offer assistance to Hurricane Matthew victims in Scotland, Robeson and Cumberland Counties, the Board of Directors of Monroe Camp & Retreat Center is offering deeply discounted hospitality to volunteer groups. The camp sits on 300 acres and is located near the areas that need assistance.

“Hurricane Matthew brought destruction to surrounding areas and Monroe Camp & Retreat Center is in a offering to support aid relief groups as they give their time and talents to helping those affected by this storm.”

Monroe Camp & Retreat Center is willing to provide three meals a day along with lodging in the cabins and internet access for $20 per person per day to cover the cost of meals. Monroe Camp is now accepting reservations for work groups of 10 or more staying for a minimum of three days and two nights. Contact Monroe Camp at 910-276-1654 for more information.

Monroe Camp & Retreat Center is a year-round retreat center that hosts a youth summer camp, weddings, and other events. Founded in 1954, Camp Monroe is one of the oldest camps in the area, originally associated with the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina.
