What are the Angel Tree weeks of camp in 2024?

Our camp sessions are weeklong, starting each Sunday and ending the following Friday for ages 8-16. All campers will get the opportunity to participate in our Base Camp program, which is a sampling of everything Camp Monroe has to offer. Families will then get to choose a track for their camper to help plan programming that may be better suited to their personality.

We will start summer camp on June 9, 2024 and conclude resident camp on August 2, 2024. There will be no camp the week of July 4th. Specific details can be found on our Camp Overview page.

We have three tracks to choose from:

1. Adventure Track – for the camper who has tons of energy and loves rollercoasters, this track guarantees that the camper will get to spend every day in the giant swing, zip line, race up our climbing tower, and complete our high ropes course challenge.

2. H2O Track – for the camper who can’t get enough of water-based activities, this track guarantees that at least half of each day at camp they will be playing on water toys, competing in water games, or learning water-based skills. We recommend multiple towels and bathing suits for this track!

3. Sampler Track – for the camper who can never make up their mind, this track offers an opportunity to do everything Camp Monroe has to offer: adventure elements, craft elements, water sports, and all the games in between.

Regardless of the track chosen by the family, all campers will get the opportunity for small and large group games, time in the pool, time on the water toys in the lake, Bible study and worship. The tracks help guide the camper into setting themselves up for a week of success at Camp Monroe. The Christian theme of the week is shared in the morning, evening, and in Bible study each day by our staff and Chaplains who volunteer their time to Camp Monroe each week.

Ages 8-11 “Discovery Camp”

Ages 12-16 “Explorer Camp”

What is Base Camp? Enjoy the best that camp has to offer for a whole week. This camp discovers the joy and wonder of the outdoors while building friendships that last a lifetime. Whether it’s your first time to camp or you’re a seasoned camper, you can’t go wrong here!

What is Night Owls? This camp is for the campers who like late mornings and late evenings, along with a little extra night time adventure. Night Owls get all the fun of summer camp plus a few extra surprises after dark!

What is Wet & Wild? This camp is intended for older youth who enjoy traveling and learning new skills. The schedule will include exciting day trips to experience class II-III white-water paddling at the US National Whitewater Center, using inflatable Ducky’s and sit on top whitewater kayaks, and if that wasn’t enough to do, we top off the week with a trip to Carowinds. This is a TRAVEL CAMP, campers arrive at Camp Monroe but will be offsite ALL WEEK, then picked up at Camp Monroe on Friday.
